#307. Candlestick Makers

Well, I arrived safely and am starting to settle in. It was a couple of hectic weeks looking at apartments, but I eventually found somewhere to call home. For a fraction of the price of a flat in Dublin, we have 3 bedrooms all to ourselves - one for us, one for guests and one for an office. There's a jacuzzi-bath, a big fridge, balconies, a gym thing and plenty of free wifi floating about until I get the speedy webs sorted.

Most importantly, we're in a good neighbourhood with all the local shops you could hope for. We're also in spitting distance of a metro station to downtown and (in a few months) the airport.

First impressions of the city are good. The historical centre is beautiful with lots to see and do and with good public transport. As a whole the city seems very well managed and is of sufficient density and (shock) planned well enough that everything ticks along smoothly.

Do you have candlestick makers?

What about bakers?

Yes and yes. Apart from the candlestick makers.

There's also a butcher that sells nice cheese.

Is it cheese with meat in it?

Why did you call the post Candlestick Makers then?

No, I don't eat meat.

How's the diarrhoea?
