#302. Killarney

Went down to Killarney National Park for a couple of days during the week. The weather was great, making the scenery even more spectacular. It was just cloudy enough to send nice shadows racing across the mountains and just sunny enough to cause the lakes to sparkle.

We rented a couple of bikes and knackered ourselves cycling about 60km through the mountains. Despite the sore buttocks, this was a great way to see the sights — inhaling large quantities of fresh air and avoiding deer and sheep. Malcolm, I salute you.

Killarney is a nice enough town (it's big enough to support a healthy population of chuggers) despite being black with tourists. I found myself hamming up the Irish accent to get a decent pint of Guinness (how this would help, I don't know).

Here are some photos.

Great photos - Co. Kerry is purty. I've only cycled the Beara Peninsula bit, alas.
