Let me make up for the 2 week absence of posting by posting a whole lotta photos.

Saw The Frames play the The Fillmore. As they were the supporting act, the setlist was bound to be a bit short (even though they did an encore - something which narked the sound engineer a bit) and the crowd was a bit chatty at the back. But Glen took it in his stride and really engaged the otherwise apathetic audience. Their usual "Ring of Fire" bit also took on an added poignancy. Overall, it was a good show and it could be said that they upstaged the main act, Calexico, who sounded like a watered down Rocket from the Crypt meets The Eagles.

Also made the trek to The Castro the other day to see Josh Ritter. It should have been a nice intimate gig, but I couldn't see, hear or smell properly because of the flash of digital cameras every 2 seconds, the rancid smell of dog biscuits and the constant, irritating "yeehaws" from certain patrons at every possible opportunity.

By attempting to clean dropped tuna off my keyboard, I've just discovered that pressing '1', '2', '3' and '4' changes the colours on the Irish Times crossword applet.

How do you do the panoramas?

You're turning around on the spot and going click<>click<>click aren't you? (With a camera in your hands obviously).

Yeah, but the camera has a nice "Panorama Maker" thing, which allows you to align them properly.

Then I use the very excellent PhotoStitch to glue them together when I get home.

Well isn't that nice?
